Re/form / Box Set

Huy Lam is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Toronto. Born in Vietnam, Lam’s practice is rooted in an ongoing fascination with non-verbal communication, with an emphasis on process based construction that is informed by his meditation practice. Using his experience as a professional photographer, Lam applies his understanding of light and perspective to his calculative designs, resulting in an illusion of form, dimension and space. Breathing new life into seemingly simple materials.

Lam’s Re/form series is a study in reflection on a tactile everyday object reinvented. He meticulously deconstructs printed materials such as magazines putting them back together to create a new form. A third iteration is brought to life as a giclée art print.
